Hi, I’m SK Chang
Welcome to artCsk
I am an emerging artist living in Singapore, and I spend much of my time painting. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about art. Even as a child, I spent every available moment I could drawing. Because of this lifelong passion, in 2015, I decided to pursue oil painting more seriously, taking classes from a renowned artist Mr Wee Shoo Leong. That was the true beginning of my art journey.
It still feels beyond my wildest dreams that the little girl sketching her teacher’s face in class is now able to share her artwork with the world.
Art, for me, has therefore become a sanctuary of self-reflection and healing. It is a gentle space where I can honour the beauty of the human experience while finding solace for life’s troubles. Eventually, I was inspired to create artCsk in collaboration with my daughter, weaving together stories and paintings so that each piece becomes an experience.

But mine truly began the day I leapt through a glowing blue sky path and landed here on Earth.
I spend a lot of time thinking – about sunlight on windowsills, about courage, about why humans look at me like they see something familiar.
I’ve wandered far to learn what it means to belong, to be seen, and to meet the world with fresh eyes.
These paintings are pieces of that journey – moments of gentleness, curiosity, wonder, and quiet strength, captured only the way a star-cat can remember them.

From Palette to Perspective
Oil painting is both an art and a science. From the chemistry of paint and the science of brushstroke direction, to the art of composition and emotional expression, it has taught me so much about life.
As someone used to the fast-paced city lifestyle, oil painting has helped me slow down to appreciate the details of any experience and see the meaning beneath the surface.
